PACIFIC BEACH— Landini’s Restaurant Group, which operates Landini’s Pizzeria and Ristorante Illando in Little Italy, has opened a new restaurant across from Scuderie Italia, its Italian bistro in Pacific Beach. Slowly Restaurant & Lounge is a departure from Italian cuisine for owners Leo and Christine Landini, serving up a Mediterranean meets Baja menu from executive chef Yadira Cuevas who hails from Michoacán, Mexico. Featuring dishes like mussels and clams in a chorizo cream, roasted maitake mushrooms with mole and crispy potatoes, and a marinated pork chop in a guajillo chile sauce, the restaurant and bar will stay open late Thursday through Saturday and offer valet service on weekends. 1520 Garnet Avenue.
